I’m a Southern California native, raising my two boys with my husband of 15 years, not far from our favorite place—the beach.
I received my Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and have been working as a Licensed Therapist since 2007. My expertise lies in understanding the complexities of interpersonal relationships, guiding individuals and families toward healing and growth.
With a strong foundation in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and a 300-hour Advanced Yoga Instruction certification, my approach integrates evidence-based mental health practices with the wisdom of mind-body connection. My clinical training includes the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of major mental health challenges, all viewed through the lens of family and relationship systems.
I was drawn to the field of psychology out of a deep desire to understand how we make sense of—and recover from—difficult life experiences. My own journey has been shaped by significant challenges, including childhood divorce, the trauma and loss of my mother at a young age, a personal battle with infertility, and debilitating anxiety. These experiences fuel my passion for helping others navigate their own struggles with strength, self-compassion, and resilience.
Through both research and lived experience, I’ve seen firsthand how emotional challenges often manifest as physical symptoms. That’s why I pay close attention to the mind-body connection in my work. When we listen to the body, we often hear the mind—gaining deeper insight into how our emotions shape our physical and mental well-being. This awareness empowers us to make meaningful changes that align with the life we want to live.
Yoga has been an anchor in my life. I was introduced to the practice at a young age by my late mother, who not only taught me meditation and asana (physical practice) but also instilled in me the guiding principles of yogic philosophy—compassion, authenticity, and service to others. At my darkest moments, yoga has helped me feel grounded and in control of my body and mind.
In my practice, I combine the principles of yoga with traditional psychotherapy, integrating techniques such as breathwork, mindful meditation, guided imagery, and relaxation strategies to enhance both physical and emotional health.
Before opening my private practice, I worked at a nonprofit community mental health clinic in Los Angeles, providing therapy to children, adults, and families facing a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral challenges. That experience deepened my understanding of the many ways in which stress, trauma, and life transitions affect our emotional well-being.
Now, in private practice, I bring together clinical expertise, personal experience, and a deep sense of compassion to support my clients. My passion is helping individuals step into their authentic selves, heal past wounds, and create a life filled with meaning, connection, and hope.
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, courage, and transformation. I would be honored to support you as you develop new ways of experiencing life, navigate transitions, and cultivate both personal growth and mind-body wellness.
I look forward to connecting with you!
